Board Opportunity
The Forage Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc. (Forage Center) is expanding its Board of Directors and invites applications from individuals interested in lending their voice, leadership and experience to build outreach and engagement with the peacebuilding and humanitarian community and maintain a strong, adaptive and resilient organization.
The Forage Center Board of Directors provides leadership, governance, and oversight and: serves as advisor to the President; develops and implements our annual strategic plan; provides fiduciary & legal guidance; assists with organization development; and represents the Forage Center.
Serving on the Forage Center Board
The Forage Center seeks to strengthen the diversity of perspectives and lived experiences at the board level and is interested in individuals who:

Seek to build their own board experience while playing a key role in guiding and growing the Forage Center’s reach.

Bring professional, educational, and/or volunteer experience in all fields; especially those with a background in leadership, programming, communications, outreach, and development.

Share our values of inclusiveness, integrity, credibility, dedication, and have a passion for the Forage Center’s mission.

Time Commitment
Board members serve a three-year term, during which time they:

Attend 4 (virtual) 1hr meetings/year and 1-2 ad hoc meetings/year

Serve on at least one committee

Participate in the Forage Center annual Immersion Program (in-person or virtually)

Attend and participate in the annual board and staff retreat

Board members are elected to the roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary
